The three major components to this collection are the research materials Chester H. Liebs used to write his 1985 book, Main Street to Miracle Mile: American Roadside Architecture, materials focused on Liebs’ lifelong professional and personal work in historic preservation, both nationally and internationally, as well as images from his personal slide collection.

Significant global collection on pinhole photography. The bulk of this collection is the archive of Pinhole Resource Inc., the publisher of Pinhole Journal from 1983 to 2006. Pinhole Resource was based in New Mexico and led by Eric Renner and Nancy Spencer. Additional material collected for the exhibit "Poetics of Light" is also included alongside the Pinhole Resource material.
